Medical treatment for illness/accident with typical inclusions (see policy for full list):
- Outpatient services (deductible €20 per consultation / prophylaxis / vaccination)
- In-patient hospital treatment (general ward) + medically necessary rehabilitation
- Local ambulance for in-patient treatment
- Dental treatment (up to €500 per insurance year)
- Dental prosthesis after waiting period (8 months): 75% up to €2,000 within 2 years
- Medically necessary return transport to home country; repatriation up to €10,000
- Private-liability included (up to €2,000,000)
- Optional maternity care (deductible €750; no waiting period under certain conditions)

Duration & pricing
- Stay length: 1–48 months (maximum 4 years)
- From price: €60.00 per month (indicative “from” price shown on IHC-Company site)
- Extensions: May be requested if your program is prolonged (subject to approval).
If your scholarship is very short (conference/visit ≤92 days), ISHCP-STT offers per-day pricing (from €1.90/day).
Documents you’ll receive for visa/enrollment
After your application is accepted, IHC-Company issues:
- Cover confirmation with your policy number
- Insurance summary (for embassy/university files)
- Full policy documentation after the first premium is credited (SEPA thereafter)

You would like to stay in Germany for a maximum of 4 years and you have a permanent residence outside Germany?
This offer is particularly suited for scholarship holders, guest scientists, language students, PhD students and students who are temporarily outside their home country in Europe for scientific project work and who intend to return to their home country.
Important: Economically dependant family members can be jointly insured in the contract together with the scholar on equal terms. However, The scholarship may not be subject to compulsory social security insurance.
